Whitsett Fire Department was founded in
February 1971 to support 300 families who
desperately needed a fire department. The first
training meeting was held at what is now the
Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Life Safety Trailer:
A trailer that was built to resemble an average
home. It is used to teach children about fire safety:
. what to do if their clothing catches on fire,
. how to properly dial and use the 911 system,
. and how to get out of the house if it is on fire.
