The Town of Whitsett is located in eastern Guilford County in the Piedmont Triad Region of North Carolina. Whitsett strives to promote the health, safety, morals, and general welfare of its approximately 600 residents; as well as protect, safeguard, and conserve the heritage of Whitsett.

The Town of Whitsett was incorporated July 13, 1991. Town Officials set up the Town Hall in the Whitsett Community Club building until 1995; at that time the Whitsett Community Club disbanded and donated their building and ball field to the Town of Whitsett.

Do I live in Whitsett?: Click on this link https://taxcama.guilfordcountync.gov/camapwa.

Next, click on Location Address then type in your street number and the name of the road/street/highway your live on. DO NOT put the words Street, Road, Drive, etc. in the name of your street. (For example, Woodard NOT Woodard Drive, Loop NOT Loop Road, NC Highway 61) Then click on the magnifying glass. This will take you to the Real Property Page. You will see a chart with the word Parcel in the far left column. Click on the blue parcel number. This will take you to the Guilford County Real Property Data page.

Look in the chart labeled Administrative Data and find the word City. In the box beside the word City, if you live in Whitsett, you will see the word Whitsett in that cell box. If you do not live in the Whitsett town city limits, it will either tell you a different city (example: Gibsonville) or it will be totally blank.

If it is blank, that means you live in Guilford County and not in the city limits of any town. (NOTE: This is true even if your mailing address says Whitsett).
What kind of permit(s) do I need?: If you are building anything on your property or if you are adding on to your home, building a fence, adding a shed, etc., you will need to speak with our Town Administrator and get a DCC (Developmental Clearance Certificate). You will then take this form to Guilford County and they will issue you the other permit(s) that you will need to build.
How do I pay my waterbill?: You can now signup to pay your bills online on our portal. Go to whitsett.authoritypay.com and you will be taken to a screen titled myMunicipality Account. On this website you view and pay on your account. You will create a username and password. This is also where you can sign up for eBilling. This will allow you to get your water bills through email and not through the post office. Once signed up in the portal you may use your credit card to pay your water bill.

You may also choose to write a check and mail it to the Town Hall (PO Box 186 Whitsett, NC 27377) or you can bring it to the Town Hall and put it in our outside drop-box. If you want to pay cash, you will need to come to the Town Hall during business hours and pay the Town Clerk.

Can I attend a Town Council or Planning Board Meeting?: Absolutely! Both meetings are open to the public. The Planning Board meets the 1^st Tuesday of each month and the Town Council meets the 2^nd Tuesday of each month, both begin at 6:00pm. If you have something you would like to discuss with either of these boards, please contact the Town Clerk to be put on the agenda.
